Welcome to the Marshall Co. Flying Club

Our Club:Located at Marshall Co. Airport (C75), in Lacon, Illinois, our club's goals are to provide opportunity for affordable flying and create a positive environment for general aviation. We have two airplanes, a Cessna 172 and a Piper Arrow. Both planes are IFR Certified and have built in VFR GPS. This is a great combination of economy and speed to meet the varying needs of our members. The club controls costs by limiting membership to 30 pilots. The limited membership also makes it easier to maintain the quality of our members and keep planes readily available. We enjoy a partnership with the FBO, Lacon Aero Service, which has staff available 7 days week to provide support for reservations as well as service needs. With volunteer labor and priority service from the FBO, our planes get a lot of attention and are maintained in excellent condition.

Browse around our website and get to know us. Better yet, drop in and see us!

Welcome New Members! We are fortunate to have four new members in the past few months. We also had a great club meeting Feb 2. Read more under Club News

New! Drive-in, Fly-in flight physicals. Right at the Marshall Co. Airport. Check it out.

Marshall County Airport was recently named "Airport of the Year." It is one of the few airports left where you can drop in and find pilots in the lounge visiting and sharing in flying experiences. Even if you aren't a pilot, you'll feel welcome here. We enjoy a friendly atmosphere and encourage everyone to stop and visit.

If you are looking for a flying destination where you can drop in and experience flying fellowship, Marshall Co. Airport is the place. There are two courtesy cars and several restaurants within a few minutes of the airport.

More about our club...

Flying: Planes can be reserved by phone on a first come first serve basis. Pilots are encouraged to give priority to those traveling out of town on overnight trips. Planes can be taken over a period of days but are expected to accumulate a minimum of 2 hrs per day. We encourage training for proficiency and upgrades in certificates, however, we don't allow student training in the club planes. Lacon Aero Service provides student training in a Cessna 172 at competitive rates.

Membership: Applicants must be approved by the membership and are required to pay a one time $600 initiation fee to join the club. Monthly dues are $35, or $385 paid annually. Applications are avialable from the airport or through the contacts listed below.

Check us out!. We would be glad to arrange for a tour of the airport and planes. We even offer a complimentary flight. Contact us through the airport at (309) 246-2870 or through the following club members;
